Insurance: CNSC strongly advises that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance, that provides coverage from unexpected disruptions due to federal or provincial restrictions, weather or transportation disruptions or delays. 

Deposits 

Tuition Based Groups (Learning Vacations and approved/negotiated groups) 

At time of booking, a 20% of the tuition is due immediately to confirm your booking. This deposit is non-refundable, except in cases of CNSC Learning Vacation courses being cancelled due to low registration numbers (see Refunds). In the event that the CNSC receives guidance from Public Health that a Learning Vacation cannot go ahead as scheduled, the course participants will be rescheduled into another trip of their choosing and the deposit will be transferred to that trip. Deposits will carry over to their next trip of choice within 12 months of original Learning Vacation course. All other tuition-based groups will be allowed to use the deposit within the same season. 

Independent Groups (Independently programmed groups, conferences/meetings, non-credit and credit courses, youth groups). 

At time of booking, 20% of the total accommodation cost is due immediately to confirm your booking. This deposit is non-refundable. 

Full Payments 

Tuition Based: Full payment for tuition-based group bookings, is due 90 days before arrival. Bookings made within 90 days of arrival will need to be paid in full.  

Independent Groups: Full payment for independent group accommodations is due 90 days before arrival. Bookings made within 90 days of arrival will need to be paid in full. 

Learning Vacation: Full payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. 

Transfers 

Tuition Based Groups: Can transfer the deposit within the same “season” pending availability.  

Independent Groups: Can transfer the deposit within the same “season” pending availability. 

Learning Vacations: Deposits are transferrable, without penalty, to an unregistered guest, under the same learning vacation. 

Cancellation 

Learning Vacations:  In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your participation in one of our Learning Vacations for personal reasons, your non-refundable deposit will be held. Full deposits are non-refundable 60 days prior to the course start date. Prepayments of final balances are subject to transaction fees.  

Tuition Based groups: At time of booking, a 20% deposit of the tuition is due immediately to confirm your booking. This deposit is non-refundable. Full payments are non-refundable 90 days prior to the arrival date. Prepayments of final balances are subject to transaction fees. 

Independent Groups: At time of booking, 20% of the accommodation amount is due immediately to confirm your booking. This deposit is non-refundable. Full payments are non-refundable 90 days prior to the arrival start. Prepayments of final balances are subject to transaction fees. 

Refunds 

Learning Vacations: Deposits are non-refundable. Full payment refunds are given in circumstances where the CNSC cancels due to low registration, less transaction fees. Full payments can be refunded for standard Learning Vacations if requested before 60 days prior to the course start date, less transaction fees.

Tuition Based: Deposits are non-refundable. Full-payments can be refunded if requested before 90 days prior to the course start date, less transaction fees.

Independent Groups: Deposits are non-refundable. Full-payments can be refunded if requested before 90 days prior to the course start date, less transaction fees.

Dates 

Learning Vacation: Please be aware that the CNSC makes every attempt to pick tour dates that coincide well with air and train arrivals, but these schedules are out of our control. When possible, we may modify our trip dates slightly after their publication to better align our schedules with updates to the air or train schedule.  

Tuition Based: dates will need to be provided based on the MOU 

Independent Groups: dates are not confirmed until the deposit is paid & are subject to availability
