The Churchill Northern Studies Centre is a year-round field station that supports scientific and social researchers working on a diverse range of topics within northern science. We also support and facilitate learning programs featuring local ecology, culture, and history. Day visitors are also welcome for a variety of tours to include a Green Building Tour, a Ramsey Trail Walk, and a Rocket Range Interpretive Walk.

School Programs
The Churchill Northern Studies Centre offers school groups 3-7 day programming that explores three distinct biomes of the Canadian sub-arctic: boreal forest, marine, and tundra. The CNSC is an active research field station and is located east of Churchill, MB on the coast of Hudson Bay and west of Wapusk National Park which protects the inland denning area of the polar bear. Provide your students with a learning opportunity they will never forget!

The Churchill Northern Studies Centre welcomes you to use our facility as a place for your conference, meeting, retreat, or event. We can build with you a unique experience which can include onsite accommodation, meals, meeting space, and opportunities for engaging our active field station.
What does it Cost?
Fees for Services
All accommodation at the Centre is shared with a maximum of four people assigned per room in two bunk beds. All bedding and towels are provided, but personal toiletries are not. The prices below include three meals daily – typically lunch and dinner on the arrival day and breakfast on the departure day – and complimentary pick-up and drop-off at the airport or train station.
