Learning Vacations range from five to seven days in length, and each day is packed with wildlife viewing excursions, visits to local museums and attractions, and fascinating tours.

You’ll stay on our campus, you’ll share meals (and conversations) with visiting scientists, our in-house research team, and other lifelong learners, and you’ll enjoy enlightening evening lectures on a range of topics, from wildlife to indigenous cultures.

You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at current research being done at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre, which is an active subarctic field station.

Whether you’re interested in birds, belugas, bears, or the beautiful northern lights, your Learning Vacation will not just be a trip to Churchill; it will be an experience of a lifetime.

Here is what some of our previous guests have said:

The CNSC is in THE MOST REMARKABLE PLACE! I was impressed with all that went into their earning the silver LEED. Really glad that there was lecture and tour of the building. Loved the lectures about life up there, nature, astronomy, science, life in indigenous communities... Every day since my return, I relive so many events, lectures, activities. I just felt like I could have stayed another week!
This trip was a true Bucket-List trip, a once-in-a-lifetime trip for me, and the experiences far exceeded my hopes... I learned SO MUCH! The first two nights there we have beautiful Aurora experiences! I would've stayed up for hours more if I weren't so tired!
The Churchill Northern Studies Centre is an exceptional facility -- comfortable (great food), sustainable, and filled with interesting materials (photos, maps, etc.). Staying in a remote location heightened our enjoyment of the landscape while providing everything we needed to be happy. Their having gear we could rent was a huge plus! And the staff there were unfailingly helpful.
