The Churchill Northern Studies Centre promotes and facilitates research and education that enhances our understanding and appreciation of natural, social, economic and cultural environments of the North.

Our dedicated staff provide, support, and facilitate research and education in the subarctic and are invested community members in the Town of Churchill. Ingenuity, collaboration, and sustainability guide our efforts to offer exceptional services to researchers, learners, and day visitors.

Churchill, Manitoba, is located on the southwest shore of the Hudson Bay and on the Churchill River. The area is rich in cultural and historical knowledge and is a world-renowned site for natural ecology.

Join our team for three weeks and experience life at a field station in the subarctic. In exchange for 36 hours of work per week, we offer room and board, a free excursion, and opportunities to engage the natural world with people from around the world.
